History
Bromar is solely owned by the Broodryk family and was established in 1995 as an import and export company with strong focus on the international wine market. Within a short space of time the wine sector has grown so fast that it was decided to focus 100% on the wine portfolio, and to discard off the other export commodities.

Managing director Tinus Broodryk started in the wine trade in 1977 as a student in Oenology at the acclaimed Elsenburg Agriculture College in Stellenbosch where most of South Africa’s winemakers hail from. Working as a Winemaker and later as a Cellar manager with strong focus on marketing he has vast experience from the vineyard to the consumer.

The superb wine knowledge of the small but aggressive team at Bromar ensure that we always over deliver on the quality of the wines we supply our customers. Our understanding of individual customer preferences and market trends enables Bromar to work proactively with its supply cellars to meet changing consumer demands. We pride ourselves with excellent quality at market related prices, backed by outstanding service.

Jean-luc Broodryk, Director, “Growing up on a wine farm is probably the fondest memories I have as a child”. The smell of Grapes in the early morning of harvest lingers in my mind till this day, the joys around the cellar tasting wine with my father from a very young age has always been a passion. My favourite quote in life “Stay positive minded “.
